[Valdes] is, at the age of 73, one of the greatest living jazz musicians and he can literally astound you. As he gets into his deceptively domesticated solo on Lorenas Tango, keyboard pyrotechnics suddenly fly off into Cecil Taylor/Don Pullen piano splatter.
