Mike Batt - The Penultimate Collection (2020)

This is another great compilation from Mike Batt. It has a lot of what you would expect but also has two brand new tracks not released before (recordings of two of his songs previously released by another artist) and some old rarely heard tracks that have been a joy to hear (again). The only track not written by Batt is a Lennon and McCartney song he recorded aged 19. Batt was clearly already a skilled musician as the recognisably Batt orchestrations were displaying undeniable talent at a young age.
