Sandy Nelson parlayed some great hits into an amazing legacy of drum work. he plays simple "rock-jazz fusion" style of drums in the 60's era mode, but his work holds up to this day. it AMAZES me how many "superstar" drummers never heard of him, along with gene krupa who regardless of him knowing it or not, invented rock drumming of the 60's and 70's wayyyyy back in the 40's.
