Drawing on texts written by women between the 12th and 13th centuries and inspired by medieval mysticism, Carla González Ferrer has composed the music for this album, La visibilitat de l’invisible, where a variety of styles reflecting her background and interests can be appreciated.

These brave women have created inspired music that stands out for its tonal motifs and sonorities reminiscent of ancient music, featuring doses of free improvisation and compositions that sometimes have a clear pop aesthetic. All of this, without leaving behind the clear sound of jazz, builds a unique aesthetic that defines the current musical style of this prominent double bassist.

For this recording, Carla G. F. has surrounded herself with a group of musicians who have been crucial in interpreting her compositions and creating the different textures in the compositions. This together with her decision to dispense with harmonic instruments define the sound of her music.
